And… this is the post where I admit that, like all of you, I am one bigfat LIAR!!
I totally thought I would be able to post again by this last Monday.
But. I was wrong… ~shocker~ … just like I’ve been wrong so many times before.

Oh well. Moving on.
Nello & Company are continuing with their mega-vacation.

We are back from our tour of Southern Colorado, Northern New Mexico, and a very very short stop in Phoenix, AZ. What’s next?
Manhattan, NY for Christmas!!!
YAY!
We are leaving this next Monday and not coming back til New Years Eve.
Yep. That would be TEN days. In my favorite city. Visiting some of my most favorite family members.

What with all the traveling around we’ve been doing, knowing that basically 98% of our earthly possessions are in STORAGE, and the fact that we are basically HOMELESS until we are done with our vacation… I’ve been a bit stressed. But it has been SO interesting because I am also happier than I’ve been in quite some time.

The stress is because of our current status as nomads. The happy is from constantly having my husband and children around. We have been gone four and a half weeks and it has been really, really great. And to cap it off with Christmas in the City? Happy, happy, HAPPY!

Oh yeah? And right now?
I’m blogging from my new shiny laptop!

And loving the wireless-ness of it all!

Well… it is WAY past my bedtime and I’ve got THINGS TO DO!
(ie: get our Christmas photo designed and printed AND mailed out to the MILLION people on the card list, do my Christmas shopping that I haven’t started yet, get my resume together so I can get a REAL J-O-B.)
See? I’m a busy woman.
But I fully intend on being back with Christmas Greetings!

(Who’s taking bets that it will actually be New Years Greetings?)
(Oh, you? Yeah. YOU and ME are no longer friends!)

Alright. Sorry for the non-warning regarding my non-posting. A purely accidental occurance, I can assure you of that.

Once again, life has chosen to happen to me and mine.
It’s not all bad, so I can’t really complain.
But, it is all pretty freaking crazy.

But first, an update:
Halloween was GREAT! We spent it with GRADY!! (Oh… and Holly and Brad, too.)

If you’re not getting this from the pics, I was The Mad Hatter (and yes, I made the pants AND the hat), Helene was Alice in Wonderland (and she played her part perfectly), and Simon was Dash Incredible.

AND…. On Halloween day I decided to go “recession”

Yeah! Can you believe it??? I crossed over to the Dark Side and LOVE it. I like to call it my “recession hair”. Aka: Not Blonde… cuz BLEACH is spendy! (But if you want to know my REAL reason it was because I didn’t want to cut my hair any shorter and since life got insane again I NEEDED a CHANGE. So dark I went and dark I will stay…. Until I need another change.)

Alright. So Nello and Company are MOVING.
And it was a FAST decision.
No. I really mean it. We decided to move one day and were literally packing boxes the next. And a week later? We had all our possessions in storage and we went on VACATION! (Jealous?) So far it has been three weeks, but we are planning to be on VACATION until after Christmas.

Why? Because we deserve a LONG vacation. AND. Because we need time to sell our house (what a joke!) and find another place to reside.
The upside to all the madness?
We are FINALLY going to live where we want to live… A place where we want to end up for the duration. Meaning; Grandkids will be visiting us in this new location.

And I couldn’t be happier about it.
You see, for basically our entire marriage Tyson and I have “ended up” in the places we’ve lived and have never felt settled or happy about it.
We have learned our lesson.
It is time to set up shop and house in the place we want to live and finish out our lives there.
And I am SO excited and happy that we have the guts to do it. (Cuz let’s face it…. what we are doing is pretty gall durn drastic. And those that have gotten the FULL story know that.)
The downside?
I’m moving away from Holly and she is a bit mad at me.
And I miss GRADY. Holly was just about ready to hire me as a sitter for her. Something I’ve been waiting for since well before I even met Grady.
I hope one day Holly will forgive me.
But even more, I hope that one day Holly and I will live by each other again.
Alright, I need to stop cuz I’m getting all teary about this.

I already miss my friends that I’ve left behind. It was hard to say goodbye to friends that I’ve had for six years and I was sad that this moving thing went so fast that there were some friends that I didn’t even get the chance to tell them in person that we were leaving.

All right. So that is the short, short update on what has been going on.
I need to get back to my vacation now.

Today we are off to The Hot Place to see a bunch of my bestest friends.

I won’t be away from the blog for very long this time… I’ll probably post again next Monday.
Not that I expect anyone to believe that… But it will happen.

(Unless some crazy turns happen inside our master plan, that is.)
