Guess what?

I am going to New York City TONIGHT!!!!
I am meeting my little sister Meppy in the City and we, just her and I, are going to paint the town any freaking color we want!!!

Yep. This Mom is getting a break. A SIX day break. I’m traveling alone. I love my family and am really lucky to have such beautiful people around me all the time. But oh. my. goodness. When I think of traveling A.LONE it is like a breath of fresh air. I need a break. Everyone knows I need a break. (Mainly because I tell everyone I meet all about it.) And I am getting that break in the form of visiting my favorite city, hanging out with my most spectacular brother-in-laws, all while laughing my butt off at stupid things with my little itty bitty twenty one year (but will be turning twenty TWO while we are there) old baby sister.

Jealous? Please say you are even if you’re not because since I am an evil person this will make me feel even better than I already do!!

In other news (aka: Halloween News):
Halloween was a blast this year. Everyone in the family picked their own costume and it was seriously great.

And if anyone knows who Tyson is supposed to be you will earn my most esteemed respect.
I have to give a quick Halloween story. So. I was a witch. And while I had my costume on my kids wouldn’t call me “Mommy”. I was “Witch”. And I quote: “Um, excuse me Witch. Can I haf a Happy Howoween?” (A Helene quote, by the way.) My kids are so AWESOME!

On Monday night Tyson and I took the kids to the driving range for our Family Night. I have no words to describe just how cute my kids are. But maybe pictures will help, yes?

And we’ll just throw one of Tyson and I in there for good measure. And also because I think that Helene did a pretty fab job of taking our picture!

Well, I am off to go and pack for my long awaited adventure.
And, yes, I do know that I still stink on updating the site. I am trying to get my crap together still. I am happier now than I have been in a long time and I feel more like me every day. I still don’t know if I am going to get surgery for my carpal tunell and I still have RSD in my foot. The RSD gives me bad days, but I am having a lot more good days. Here’s to remission!!!!
