The “B” Word
Okay. I get it.
I do. I really do.
None of you really want to know anything about the “B” word. It’s been done.
It’s been over-done.
And you know… that is seriously a-okay with me.
I can’t really wrap my mind around the whole experience anyway.
I took four pictures at the B-word.
FOUR.
And here’s two of them in which Lena and I try to take a decent picture.
What do you think? Did we succeed?
I hung out with Lena and Vi for the most part. (Shocking, I know.) We had our usual good times and innapropriate conversations regarding all things NOT p.c. (Again with the shock.)
I met Renee from Selfish Behind the Scenes and I am SO happy to have met her. Her blog is serioulsy hilarious but she is even more so in real life!!! Just move on over to her blog right now so that she can tell you about the disappointing hotel we stayed in. But allow ME to tell you that she is the pickiest eater I have ever encountered in my life. And that is saying something because I am Mother to Simon (a.k.a. He who will not eat ANYTHING that his Mother wants him to). Renee has never eaten an avacodo. Not even guacamole. My mind will never understand this…. but I love her anyway.
I hung out quite a bit with The Daring One. You all think she is funny on her blog? Uh… hang with her in real life. You will find even MORE of the funny. We really bonded on our way to eat dinner one night when I got to witness a bedtime serenade to her daughter. I believe the song was “I’m wishing” from Snow White and I can attest to the fact that Laylee thinks her Mother is a complete rock star. Because after that rendition, I totally think the SAME thing.
I ran into Christina from A Mommy Story at one of the cocktail parties. Can I just tell you that this woman is seriously so cool?!!! Her blog is really pretty fabulous and I love it that she is the same fabulous in real life. I wish I could have hung out with her more but there were so many freaking people there that we only ran into each other twice.
I also ran into Jennster!
What? Who’s Jennster???
She’s only the life of the party! How could you NOT know?
Aside from the experiences that I wrote about above, I really felt quite out of place and awkward. I really love the internet community to which I belong. It consists of a very diverse group of people who make me feel right at home. And for that, I wanted to say thanks.
I also wanted to damn you all to a very hot place for not being in San Jose this weekend…
I will try my best to forgive.

I’m so glad that I got to meet you. Your work is wonderful – and you are simply gorgeous.
i heart you! i think you are STUNNING!!!! i wish we spent more time together!!!! xoxoox
You are too kind, really. I prefer to be treated like crap. Remember Friday night? HaHa, just kidding. I’m really glad I got to meet you too! Here’s hoping we get together again!
Aw…you’re a doll!
I am all ready in a hot as hell place. I really am going to try to go next year. I would love to meet everybody! Sounds like you had a blast. Wish I could have gone.
I just saw on A Mommy Story blog that BlogHer will be in Chicago next year. Hell yeah I will be there since I live here. Hope to see you there!
Sounds like it was a lot of fun… hmpf… maybe next year!
Cute pictures! Stuff like that is fun to go to, as long as you have a buddy or two to hang with.
I’m so jealous! I wanned to go to B-her… maybe next time… or the time after that..

Oh how jealous I am that I had to miss this. We’re buying a house and my husband didn’t think that spending money on a blogging convention was considered necessary on the financial side! It looks like you had a great time, even if you only hung out with a select few. Yeah, I’m tired of hearing about it because I couldn’t go, but at the same time, I’m using everyone’s stories as knowledge for next year when I hit up Chicago!
Kelly,
I am so bummed to miss it all. I was going to at least hook up and meet some people but we are still stuck here w/ the little one waiting for permission to come home. We read the same blogs so it was so fun to see who you ran into!!! I will have pictures for you as soon as I get home to add to the new design.
Thanks for being patient w/ me….
Rebecca
Awww…thanks! I’m bowing down to you right now. Seriously, you rock.
I was totally looking for you on Saturday night, but the crowd was simply too large. I almost think it was too large that night – Friday was a little more intimate and I could actually find someone if I needed to. I spent half of Saturday night just trying to find people.
I’m so glad we ran into each other, though, and maybe we’ll get more of a chance to hang in Chicago next year!
I was totally in San Jose, but unfortunately not at Blogher. Hmm. next year!
I’m so glad we got to meet up. It was such an awesome pleasure to meet you and find out how cool you are. A lot of it comes through on your blog but not as good as the real deal. You were definitely one of the highlights of the conference for me. Thanks!
wow. looks like you had a great time though.
I’m too distracted by my belly rolls to even notice my wonky eyes. Were we smoking weed???
Also – WOW about all my bitching. Really. That was a FEST. You should see me when I feel ignored. And misunderstood. Oh, wait! You did!
Guess who’s so over it? (HINT: me!)
Loved hanging with you. Pretty much love YOU!
You sound like my kind of gal! I like to be around humorous people. Thanks for sharing the pics I feel like you transported me there!
Sounds like you had a blast! Sorry I could not be in San Jose for this wonderful event….I do hope you can find it in your heart to forgive. I really do NOT want to go to a very hot place….it’s hot enough where I am!
Great pictures of some great women.
I imagine you have coined a new phrase: “What happens in San Jose, stays in San Jose”!
I’m having such fun seeing everyone’s pics from BlogHer! Thanks for sharing! I would have loved to go, but, well, hubby would have never understood the “need” for it, and also very few people would even know who the heck I was since I’m not blog-famous like you and Lena and the others. lol Glad you had a good time meeting some people!
Well, like it or not, I am now a part of your Internet community. That’s right… I am STALKING your blog! (see the “Hawaii” popping up on your site meter… that’s me, on vacation, reading your blog!)
& cute photos… my Lord, you and Lena are so YOUNG!!! shit, maybe I need to go find some old lady blogs to hang around.
Wow, blog her sounds like it was great. I have only read… ohhh, 17 million different post about it. But they all sound like it was fun. So many people.. I would freak out!
