Ah…. The week with NO sleep!
Thank heaven above that it is OVER.

This week, as you may or may not know, I got a home security system installed in my house. The kid that installed the system gradutated from the same high school as me. Exciting, no? I think so only because I graduated high school in Peoria, Arizona and I now live in California. I just thought this was incredibly random…. also incredibly sad. This kid graduated in 2004. I, on the other hand, graduated in 1996. Needless to say… I felt a little old and DATED.

I had a visit to my aesthetician the other day. Yes. I am one of those. I am one of those that likes to pay someone to RIP hair out of my skin. I was laying on the table and the thoughts that ALWAYS crosses my mind when I am there made it’s appearance.
“Why do I do this to myself? This hurts EVERY time. Why can’t I be one of those people that DON’T have unwanted hair? I want to be one of those people… Or I should just get that laser hair removal that I’ve been hearing about….” And then the wax gets applied, the rip is executed (GAH!), and it is over.

I braved the toy store ALONE with both of my kids this week. I really have to hand it to myself here. I was IN a toy store with two kids and I made it OUT without and major melt-down. WAHOO! I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank my children for giving me a reason to think that I could possibly leave the house again with them. Alone. To run errands.

I got myself lost last night while driving to San Jose. Yeah. That was fun. I was supposed to take an exit called “Mission Blvd”. Easy, right? Nope. Too bad Google Maps didn’t tell me that there were TWO exits called “Mission Blvd”. Obviously I took the first Mission Blvd which also happened to be the WRONG Mission Blvd. When I finally got to where I wanted to go I got myself lost again. I drove past my hotel TWO.TIMES. I drove up and down the road and I am telling you that the hotel would become IN.Visible when I would happen upon it. Good thing I have a cell phone and Tyson has satellite Google Maps.

Alright kids.
I gotta go.
I am at some random conference in San Jose and I am here to LEARN.
Which means that I now need to pay attention!!

That is totally random! Someone here installing alarms, your alarm, there. Crazy! Glad you made it safely (and your kids too) out of the toystore! And to your hotel. Wish I were there! I have been reading everyones blogs today and everyone is writing from there… fu-un.

I’m so jealous of you at BlogHer!

Last night I was telling Matt that I was sad that all my favorite boggers were at BlogHer (You, Lena, Vi, the Fluid Pudding), and he said, “Why didn’t you go, cutie?” (because he still likes me. And because I’m moving to Akron for him) and I said, “Um, because it’s both the week we move and the week you took the bar.” And then he realized that I’m infinitely smart and infinitely nice to him.

Maybe next year…

First, I would like to take a moment to welcome you to my town. This is the worst weekend ever to be in San Jose…yes those are actual race cars you’re hearing. I live a good 6 miles away from the Grand Prix, and I can hear them. I still don’t know how they manage to put a grand prix in downtown.

Second, we’re the same age! I totally thought you were older. I have nothing to base this on! I haven’t seen pics of you or anything, but you sound older. Now, this could be offensive, or a compliment! Maybe you just sound mature? Maybe its because I blog like a high schooler? lol. I think I’m complementing you while offending myself. hah.

Anyhoo..hope you’re having fun at Blogher!

Sorry I didn’t can’t a chance to say goodbye, but it was really great to meet you. You are genuinely very sweet and I still like you even though you eat avocados.

hope you had fun at blogher! btw, my sister had the laser hair removal treatment done on her arms and back, and it didn’t work! She said it lessened the appearance of the hair, but he hair was still there. I don’t know if she got ripped off (whoah what a pun!) or if the effectiveness of laser hair removal is overhyped.

Very nice blog design. You change it so often I wonder if I am at the blog I was heading for when it loads! I am worse at the toy store than my son ever was. I want one of every lego box out there! My son has major tupperware containers to prove that one! I hope you have a magnificent Monday and have learned alot!

Didja see there’s a cream that you can use that stops unwanted hair. One day soon (hopefully), they’ll make it for all unwanted hair.

I’ve had my whole body lasered (except my head of course) and I love it! I was too lazy to shave but too hairy to be released from the circus.
