My “Friend” Is An Idiot

I learned two things the other day.
Wait. Make that three.

  1. I DOUBLE-HATE cleaning my bathrooms. Before I only hated it. Now I double-hate it.
  2. If you could only choose ONE thing to clean in a house, I would say it would HAVE to be the toilet. Doesn’t doing your business go so much better when you have a clean bowl to do it in? Doesn’t it? I’ve decided that icky-sicky-nasty toilets are my latest pet peeve.
  3. Bleach cleans everything… and cleans everything WELL. However. Never ever, under any circumstances (ie: white grout that is now gray) should you clean with Tilex and bleach simultaneously. Oh. It cleans that nasty gray in the grout (where just Tilex alone wouldn’t) but the ramifications of mixing those chemicals are horrendous. Let’s just say that I had a “friend” that did this and said “friend” ended up with watery eyes that could not be seen out of, a runny nose that came out of nowhere, oh… and the inability to BREATHE! (Not to mention that my her esophagus now feels burned. If that is even possible.)

Go ahead.
Feel free to call me a dumbass.

Go Back To The Main Blah

I have a “friend” who did something like that, too, once. It only takes once. So now she makes her husband do the bathrooms. He knows when to use the bleach. And she can now enjoy the clean seat without the fumes. And can I just say, grout sucks. It’s my personal grossy-gross pet peeve.

LOL…tell your “friend” to read labels prior to mixing chemicals. I hope your her eyes/esophagus are feeling better! :)

Oh Jeez! I hope you are better now. You have to be really careful mixing bleach w. anything. Those fumes are toxic.

Personally, if I could only clean one thing for the rest of my life I’d be torn between the shower and my bed… those are two places I love to spend my free time, and quite frankly, I’d be really grossed out if either one was really gross.

Oh I have mixed stuff together before, not thinking of course. I hope you fell better. As far as the one clean thing in the house I have to agree witht the toliet but close behind it is my bed with fresh, crisp clean sheets.

I won’t call your friend any names because I have a “friend” who has done the same thing. The house reeked for days!

I HATE HATE HATE cleaning my bathroom too. Infact I havent cleaned the bath for a good while. I am so lazy infact I use anti bacterial wipes to give things a quick wipe down (sometimes baby wipes ssshh)

Did you get any kind of rush out of that experience or was it all bad?

I would never… but do be careful mixing any chemicals. Some are so deadly they can kill very quickly or make you wish they had!

The bathroom is low on my list also. I keep it sort or clean most of the time and once a month do the big job. But I don’t have much, shall we say, buildup in my bowl thank goodness!!

Oh sorry sugar. I use bleach like I drink diet coke. I’ve learned that rarely does ANYTHING mix well with bleach. I create chemical bombs all the time when I clean. I still haven’t learned.

I did that once. Well, my friend did. I now make my little sister clean the toilets.

I think that one time or another, one way or another, we have all had or been friends who have done such a thing. Luckily we have all lived threw it and hopefully didn’t loose too many brain cells in the process.

I leave a note on how to call 911 for DD and tell her that I love her before I go in for the clean.

I must say, your “friend” is lucky. I had a friend (no really, a real friend) who did this and was unable to talk normally for over a year.

Glad you’re (I mean your friend is) okay.

I’m sorry, but you’re mistaken. Windex and a Mr. Clean Eraser cleans everything. :)
